London, October 18.  The following specimen of country
poetry is wrote under the sign of Swan chained to a rock,
the sign being fastened to a tree, at Tittensor, near
Trentham, in Staffordshire:
  I am a swan you plainly see,
  Chain'd to a rock, nail'd to a tree:
  The reason I am fastened here,
  Because John Harvey sells good beer.
